HOLIDAY STYLE FILE

Christmas is so close I can taste it!! Ahhh I just love this time of year, not only because it is full of all things warm and cozy but because there are endless opportunities to dress to the occasion. Here are some of my looks from the past weekend.

This amazing romper is by BCBG and I scored it during my family's recent annual pre-Christmas shopping extravaganza in good 'ol Branson, MO. Paired with Stella & Dot jewelry, black tights and matching heels by Lauren Conrad for Kohl's (which I got for $23... score!).

This dress is another great deal I got at the BCBG outlet and it is so beautiful and extremely comfortable. The hubs and I went to see The Nutcracker so I felt it was a good opportunity to get dressed up and have a glamorous night on the town!

Ok, those heels. I don't even know if there are words to explain how freaking bad-ass these are. I mentioned them here, and they are from Charlotte Russe, available NOW! They also come in a mauve-ish red-ish color. I LOVE THEM!

And to finish the look I had a simple black clutch, the Somervell Necklace by Stella & Dot and my beloved Michael Kors black coat. Ahhh, love. The Somervell Necklace is probably one of my absolute favorite pieces, ever, by S&D. It is so glam! But, it can also be paired with a very casual outfit, as you will see next!

Before our Italian pre-ballet dinner.   :)

Waiting for the ballet to start. SUCH a great show! I highly recommend The Nutcracker to anyone. The hubs even likes it (shhh... don't tell anyone!).

Bling bling necklace with a casual outfit? Umm...YES! So fun and definitely not stuffy!

Fab vest from Target with detachable hood (featured in one of my Splurge v Steal posts), Target flannel, Banana Republic clearanced sweater from our shopping trip and Charlotte Russe denim. Love!

And lastly, my look today. Banana Republic sweater steal from last year's Branson trip, pink skinny jeans from TJ Maxx and knock off Sperrys from Kohl's by Croft & Barrow. Love!

Pink pants and boat shoes in December? Why not! Hey, at least I have a sweater on!

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!!

GUILTY FOR GILT

Some very exciting news my Louisville friends! Gilt, a website FULL of designer discounted goodies for men, women and kids is having a, "pop up" store location!!! From what I have read, when Gilt does have a pop up store it is typically only a few days. Well, the one here in Louisville is going to be open for ONE MONTH! Eeek! For a nano second I debated on blogging about this because I wanted to keep this gem to myself. But after my nano second of evil-good-deal-hiding-thoughts, I snapped out of it and said heck no, I'm telling EVERYONE! It opens June 28. :)

Yummy dinner last night. Spinach, feta, almond slivers, purple onion, shredded turkey, tomato, craisins, balsamic vinaigrette and a side of seasoned fresh green beans. Topped this beauty of a meal off with some Dove Dark Chocolate. My fav!

And as for tonight? The hubs and I had one of our favorites: Chicken and rice! It is one of the recipes off the Campbell's Cream of Mushroom can, and it is SO yummy! Paired with Salad and some of those left over green beans. And no, we do not eat perfectly prepared and perfectly plated meals every night. The hubs is typically used to a sandwich or some cereal, ha!! Especially when I'm working 12 hour shifts!

Now on to that amazing family photo shoot we had on our 3 year anniversary! We had the wonderful, Brittany Bowen, come to our home and it was SO much fun! I have dreamed of doing a in-home photo session and it finally became a reality. Brittany is one of my fab coworkers' daughters and is taking her love for photography and making it her living. After checking out some of Brittany's work, I knew I needed to jump on the opportunity before she got too busy! And it was by chance that our anniversary happened to be a good day for us and for Brittany, so we got some nice shots of us with some of our wedding mementos as well. Here are some of my favorites!!

Cheers to three years!

OSCAR SUNDAY

Happy Oscar Sunday! Watching the E! News red carpet coverage, and I can already tell you that Naomi Watts, hands down, is my fav! She looks amazing and her dress is to die for. Of course, there are so many fab gowns to pic from, but the second I saw her I immediately had extreme dress envy.

So this weekend was action packed! We had a wedding on Friday and I had the second half of a bachelorette party on Saturday. For the wedding I went with a blue BCBG dress that I got at one of their BCBG Off The Runway outlet locations (which is one of my FAV stores) and it is beautiful. Paired that with a fab Stella & Dot necklace and a classic side swept hair style. Check it out:

Femme Fatale Necklace

Heading out for the bachelorette party!

Some of the girls at pole dancing class.... yup. Haha! It was really fun though, and the instructor showed us some crazy moves! It is definitely not easy at all.

Out theme was 80's, and it was fabulous. Accessories and the shirts were provided to us by some of the girls and we ALL went to town with the theme. It was so much fun!!

Love this pic. We are bad asses, haha!

Ended the night at a dueling piano bar, and they were really good! It was a blast

Alright, Oscars just started so I gotta go!!!
