HUMP/ALMOST TURKEY DAY!

Remember back in the Myspace days (yeah, i had a profile for about two seconds)? I am definitely a Facebook person but I do remember that on Myspace you could have a song come on anytime someone was on your page. Well, if my blog could do that (I'm sure it can but I don't want to drive people crazy) then my theme song would have to be, "Fashion" on Lady Gaga's new album. OB-sessed! Do me a favor and go to this YouTube link here, press play and enjoy this blog post to some tunes :)

*****************************************************************************************

Happy Hump Day!! CAN-not wait for Thanksgiving! It is definitely a contender for my favorite holiday. Not sure what it is about Thanksgiving, but it brings me so much joy! I found a super cute sweater at Forever 21 for Thanksgiving, and I'll share that later. My trip to Forever 21 turned out to be a very successful one! Not only did I find my sweater, I found my Christmas Eve dress and New Years Eve dress. Score!!

So, the football game the other day was, as expected, very very cold! I broke out my fab long black coat and added some pops of red for our team.

Found this gem at our Liquor Barn. Last year when they released one of these my family decided to have a blind taste off. It was great! So when we saw this we knew we had to snag one to bring to St. Louis for my family. A lot of the market testing products that Anheuser Busch puts out don't always seem to be available in St. Louis (or at least that is my experience), probably because most people living there are going to love anything AB puts out! I'm guilty of it! Gotta have pride, ya know! (if you are completely clueless to what I'm talking about, Anheuser Busch is head quartered in St. Louis ;)

My look for today is comfy and cute! A little denim on denim never hurt anybody, AS LONG as the washes are not the same. Now THAT would not be cute! Actually, I take that back because I'm sure someone could find an example of it being pulled off just fine. I digress...

Denim top from Target, jeans and boots by Charlotte Russe.

Paired with my fab Forever 21 faux leather vest. Love!

And some Stella & Dot love- Cross Bracelet and Soar Necklace

Are you excited for Thanksgiving?!?

LATELY

Happy Saturday!! We are heading to a football game, with some tailgating of course, and I am going to FREEZE my butt off! Oh well, it will be fun!

Here are some looks from the past week or so. Slacked on my blogging this past week so here it all is!

Target flannel, AH-mazing Forever 21 faux fur vest, Apt 9 leggings and Payless rider boots. I am a deal seeker for sure, and this is the epitome of that, head to toe!

Stella & Dot goodies...

One of my coworkers got married last weekend and I rocked this sequin Forever 21 number.  You might recognize this dress from a post I did a while back ;) It is so beautiful! Paired with my gorg Petra Braided Bracelet by Stella & Dot. This bracelet is the first thing from Stella & Dot I ever owned, gifted to me by my mom. It is extremely beautiful and is definitely a scene stealer. Unfortunately, it is currently sold out! I guess everyone wanted one for the holidays!! I'm sure they will get it back in stock soon!

This coat was a steal I got at a Michael Kors outlet. It is a staple piece for any woman's wardrobe: The Long Black Coat. Anything by Michael Kors is fabulous, especially when you get it for next to nothing!

Purse by Apt 9 for Kohl's and the heels are LC by Lauren Conrad for Kohl's. Her line is so amazing and she hits the comfortable chic concept right on the nose. Jeans by Charlotte Russe, my go to for denim. They offer every style and wash possible, in multiple lengths and for killer deals.

More Stella & Dot fabulousness

Now on to some eats! Salad with shredded turkey, sweet potato and broccoli and cauliflower.

Eggs, Ezekiel Bread and an apple. Mmmm...

Salad with shredded turkeyronis, sweet potato and broccoli and cauliflower medley.

This one is a bit of a carb load, but it was mmm mmm good. Pancakes, Ezekiel Bread with local honey and some eggs.

And lastly, spinach, banana peppers, feta, almond slivers, purple onion and shredded turkeyronis. Yum

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw this pic. We thought our birds were just very hungry. Well, turns out we have a squirrel eating all the food! Grrr.... The birds are definitely enjoying it too, but I have a feeling he is eating a lot of it!

Have a great Saturday!!

WEEKEND RECAP

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We had a wedding and a football game, so we stayed pretty busy. Thank goodness the weather cooperated on Saturday for the game. As for Friday, well, it pretty much was a monsoon! Luckily the outdoor wedding ceremony was able to be squeezed in between downpours!

Forever21 dress, Candie's for Khol's heels and my bracelet and earrings I wore on my wedding day :) I used some of my fab Ulta braid finds to add bulk to my braided bun. Turned out pretty good!

Game day ready! Tailgating and football games are always a good time! Fab tee from Target a few years ago, Seven black skinnies from TJ Maxx and my fab rider boots by Payless!

And today I rocked some Stella & Dot with, you guessed it, my black rider boots by Payless and black leggings by Apt 9 for Khol's. Love!

No post would be complete without some pumpkin love! Found these on sale at my grocery and HAD to try them. Verdict: pretty darn good!

And last, but certainly not least, the moment I have been waiting for: Edy's Pumpkin ice cream!!!!

Short post, and most definitely sweet!

Cannot wait for Breaking Bad to come on tonight!!! Ahhhh the suspense is painful!

AHHH... FRIDAY

Oh Friday, I didn't think you would come soon enough! We have been SLAMMED at work lately and this week has exhausted me! The hubs was nice enough to make me dinner the other night and it.was.good. Russet potatoes, green beans and Salmon. Mmm....

My other meals this week have mostly consisted of soup because I was feeling a bit under the weather. On my soup run after work last night I came across this beauty at Earth Fare and decided that after passing it up on Wednesday that I had to try it out. Pumpkin Salsa!! I know it sounds a little strange, but it's worth a shot! Some ideas I have in store for this magic in a jar is on top of eggs, scooped up with traditional chips, scooped up with some sweet potato chips and lastly, plopping some on top of a sweet potato. We shall see. Earth Fare was selling some special pumpkin corn chips next to them as a match, but I passed on those.

The hubs and I went to the UofL home opener for football on Sunday and man was it a scorcher! Holy Heck! A beer and lots of water got us through, ha! It was a great game though, and everyone in the stands were pumped up!

Some goodies from our local sports shop!

The team coming out on to the field!

Love

Some other looks from the week: Victoria's Secret Pink top from the clearance rack (score), jean shorts from Forever21 from about three years ago and my awesome Birkenstock knock off's. They are so old I honestly can't even remember where I got them from! The great thing about jean shorts and these kind of sandals, in my opinion, is that the older they are the better looking and better fitting they get!

Girl's Dinner night! First week of every month we are setting aside one night to get together and take turns hosting dinner. It has been amazing so far!

This Forever21 dress is about five years old and I.love.it. It has stood the test of time and is gorgeous! Added my Christina Link Bracelet to add just a touch of glam.

I used my CHI Waver for this look. Super easy and super cute! And luckily Ulta is having a 20% off promo right now, which can be used online too! It ends tomorrow so hurry up and take advantage of it if you are in need of any beauty products. They run this promo repeatedly, I just have no idea when the next one will be. Any bit helps when buying CHI products. I do love them to death, but they can be pricey!

What are your plans for this fabulous weekend?!
