SUMMER ESSENTIALS

Well, the weekend went a little something like this...

My man at the grill...

Warm weather...

...and now the temps are plummeting to freezing, grill cover is on, hanging baskets in the garage for coverage so my flowers don't freeze and jackets are again a staple of my everyday. BLAH!! Can the weather make up its mind? PLLLEEeeaase!

It is clear I am yearning for warmth because at the first sign of it I was rocking a crop top and some wide leg pants, both from Forever 21. Love! I've said it before and I'll say it again: high waisted, wide leg pants are a MUST for this Spring/Summer. And, in case you haven't noticed, crop tops too!

And these earrings are to die for! The coral is just the right pop of color and the two lower links can be detached for a short look. Genius!

At least I am hosting, "Girl's Dinner", tomorrow night at my house so my mind is preoccupied with things other than this terrible weather! Here is a sneak peak of what is in store!

SPLURGE V STEAL

The wide leg baggy pant- Whether you love it or hate it, it is here for summer and ready to make a splash! Personally, I love it! Either paired with a tank and some wedge sandals or a tee and some flats. Too cute! I have a pair in Leopard (yes, leopard) that I cannot wait to rock with my black sleeveless cropped top! Just haven't had the right occasion, or weather, to do it just yet.

I hate to put these pants below on the splurge list, especially since they are a part of the Peter Som for Kohl's DesigNation collection about to debut, but they just can't compete with the prices above. With that being said, I LOVE these ones, so combined with a Kohl's coupon and the right sale these could definitely compete on price.

KOHL'S COLLABO

Here it is! Another collabo, this time with Kohl's DesigNation! Yay! The collaboration is with designer, Peter Som. So pumped! 

Coming April 10, the vibe for the collection is easy and breezy, inspired by St. Barths. Bring it on! Anything to get us headed in the direction of warmth is a win in my book!
